Welcome! I’m A. Hartland, a singer-songwriter and producer from the vibrant city of Cape Town, South Africa.

My voice spans an impressive four octaves, featuring my signature high-pitched ‘Fish Eagle’ screams, which reflect the rich depth of my diverse musical roots.

My sound blends Retro Folk, Art Rock, and Alternative Country with a dash of Musical Theatre’s dramatic flair. I craft music that speaks to those who think and feel deeply, weaving these influences into my latest project, Songs from a Bedouin Tent, Vol. 2.

I’m also excited to announce a major milestone in my journey: a Publishing and Distribution deal with Silversongs Music Publishing and Woowi Digital, facilitated by Sheer Publishing, a division of the renowned US music company, Downtown Records. This partnership covers my recently released albums, Songs from a Bedouin Tent, Volumes 1 and 2, and will extend to a captivating collection of upcoming material, which will also include original Afrikaans songs. It’s an incredible opportunity to connect with a global audience, and I’m thrilled for what lies ahead.
